The Cadillac Formula 1® Team today announced the signing of two star drivers – 10-time Grand Prix winner Valtteri Bottas and fellow F1 standout and six-time Grand Prix winner Sergio “Checo” Perez – to lead the team into its debut season in Formula 1® in 2026.
Together, Bottas and Perez bring an unmatched blend of experience, leadership and technical acumen, positioning the Cadillac Formula 1® Team to hit the ground running as it joins the world’s most elite racing series. With more than 500 combined Grand Prix starts, over 100 podiums and deep development expertise, the pair will play a central role in shaping the team’s competitive foundation from day one.
"From the moment I began speaking with the Cadillac Formula 1® Team, I felt something different – something ambitious but also grounded," said Bottas. “This isn’t just a racing project; it’s a long-term vision. It's not every day that you get a chance to be part of something being built from the ground up and helping shape it into something that truly belongs on the F1® grid."
Pérez added: "Joining the Cadillac Formula 1® Team is an incredibly exciting new chapter in my career. It's an honor to be part of a building a team that can develop together so that, in time, we will fight at the very front. Cadillac is a legendary name in American motorsport, and to help bring such a fantastic company to Formula 1® is a huge responsibility, one I’m confident of taking on. I’m proud to be part of such an ambitious and meaningful project from the very beginning. We’re counting on support from across the continent – and we want to make everyone proud."
A partnership of style and performance:
TOMMY HILFIGER x Cadillac Formula 1® Team
As official apparel sponsor of the Cadillac Formula 1® Team, Tommy Hilfiger will design and create custom kit for the entire team and its drivers for the 2026 Formula 1® World Championship™ season.

Tommy Hilfiger will produce and manage the team’s global fanwear collections, including exclusive caps, and a broad range of merch and accessories inspired by the team and the drivers, launching February 2026 for the Spring 2026 season. The collection will include jackets, a ¼ zip, graphic t-shirts, tanks and sweatshirts, hoodies, classic polos and logo caps, with unisex silhouettes for men, women and kids.
The range will be available on tommy.com, at TOMMY HILFIGER stores globally, plus via select wholesale partners and online retailers.
"Building on our legacy of blending fashion, sport and storytelling, we’re excited to take the next step with the Cadillac Formula 1® Team. The drivers bring unique personalities and style to the circuit, and we’re proud to outfit them and the entire team in performance-ready kit. With Formula 1®’s global momentum, our fanwear will bring the thrill of the track to fans everywhere," said Tommy Hilfiger.
From the runway to the raceway, TOMMY HILFIGER has a unique history in Formula 1®—sponsoring teams since the ‘90s, creating capsules with legends of the sport, breaking convention with disruptive partnership activations, and designing collections inspired by the track.
Hilfiger’s lifelong love for Formula 1® began trackside at Watkins Glen, the former home of the U.S. Grand Prix, where he first watched the action as a teenager.
That early fascination evolved into decades of involvement, with the brand championing greater inclusivity and redefining how fashion shows up on the grid—from sponsoring Team Lotus, Ferrari, and Mercedes-AMG F1® to collaborating with Sir Lewis Hamilton.
The Summer 2025 debut of F1® The Movie was complemented by the launch of The APXGP Collection, fronted by Brand Ambassador Damson Idris.
This passion, energy and innovative spirit show how—for four decades—TOMMY HILFIGER has made its mark at the intersection of fashion, art, music, entertainment and sport.
