The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team drivers showcased the Tommy x Mercedes-AMG F1 x Awake NY collection as part of a Miami Grand Prix takeover.

Tommy Hilfiger, which is owned by PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH], announces that Lewis Hamilton and George Russell wore the Tommy x Mercedes-AMG F1 x Awake NY collection at the Miami Grand Prix on May 6th. The collection that brings New York street style to classic prep has been sold trackside all race week since May 4th.

Lewis can be seen wearing the Tommy x Mercedes-AMG F1 x Awake NY Rugby jersey while George wears the Tommy x Mercedes-AMG F1 x Awake NY Baseball jersey in white.

The Tommy x Mercedes-AMG F1 x Awake collection was launched in Miami with a series of activations strengthening the bonds between the racing and fashion worlds while giving a platform to underrepresented communities.

Reflecting the values of the People’s Place program, a Tommy Hilfiger initiative that aims to give opportunity to underrepresented communities in the creative industry, three BIPOC talents from Creatives Want Change (CWC) will be invited to attend the race on May 7th. Danae Harrison, Dayne Thompson and Donald Whorley from CWC will work closely with Awake founder Angelo Baque on the grid before the race, exploring how the collaboration evolves, from concept to production.

Mr. Tommy Hilfiger will attend the race, a lifelong fan of Formula 1. His namesake brand has a unique history in Formula 1 sponsoring teams since the ‘90s, creating capsules with legends of the sport, breaking convention with disruptive partnership activations, and designing collections inspired by the track.

The Tommy x Mercedes-AMG F1 x Awake collection will also be available at Tommy.com, shop.mercedesamgf1.com, select TOMMY HILFIGER stores and designated tracks over upcoming Grand Prix weekends.

Friends of the brand are invited to join the community and conversation on social media using #TommyHilfiger, #TommyxMercedesF1xAwake and @TommyHilfiger.
