TH STORE Oscar Freire Brazil ExteriorTommy Hilfiger, which is owned by PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH], is pleased to announce that Mr. Tommy Hilfiger will visit São Paulo, Brazil, to celebrate the opening of two new Tommy Hilfiger stores in the city. Opening on the prestigious Rua Oscar Freire and in the modern JK Iguatemi shopping center, these two stores are the latest addition to a growing portfolio of over 30 Tommy Hilfiger locations in the country.

Mr. Hilfiger will celebrate the Tommy Hilfiger brand’s strong and growing presence in Brazil with a series of special events in São Paulo on November 10 and 11, 2015, including a speaking engagement at Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP), an intimate VIP dinner and press cocktail, and an exclusive celebrity-attended red carpet celebration. Mr. Hilfiger’s visit to Brazil is the culmination of his yearlong program of special initiatives to commemorate the 30th anniversary of his brand, which has also included events in New York, Paris and Beijing, among other cities.

“My visit to São Paulo is the grand finale to our brand’s 30th anniversary tour of special events around the world,” said Mr. Hilfiger. “I love the rich culture of Brazil and it’s amazing to see the way our customers here embrace the classic, American, cool signature style of our brand, while giving it a vibrant local twist.”

The two São Paulo stores have been designed to reflect Tommy Hilfiger’s new global retail concept, which fuses the brand’s heritage with clean, modern finishes and a bright, airy aesthetic. Large panels of glass frame the façades and staircases to fill each space with natural light, while polished finishes emphasize a clean, contemporary feel. The concept takes cue from the nautical lifestyle, one of Tommy’s longstanding sources of inspiration. The theme is reflected in mahogany accents, minimalist white lacquered details and customized stainless steel facades – it’s traditional Tommy Hilfiger in a fresh, modern way.

The two-story Oscar Freire Tommy Hilfiger anchor store opened on November 1, 2015, and spans over 500-square-meters (5,400-square feet). The first floor showcases men’s and women’s sportswear and the men’s Tommy Hilfiger Tailored collection, while the second floor features Hilfiger Collection, women’s footwear and accessories, and the Tommy Hilfiger kids collection. Design elements include pale oak herringbone flooring, custom jacquard rugs, and vintage wood chairs designed by legendary Brazilian architect and designer Sergio Rodrigues. Vintage chandeliers from iconic Brazilian lighting studio Dominici are set against floor-to-ceiling multimedia screens that create an engaging and immersive brand experience. The expansive location also includes a custom red, white and blue neon sculpture of the Tommy Hilfiger flag that hangs in a glass atrium; it leads to an outdoor roof terrace which features large outdoor umbrellas and a customized seating area surrounded by lush planters.

The Tommy Hilfiger JK Iguatemi store opened on September 25, 2015, and showcases a broad selection of Tommy Hilfiger collections including men’s and women’s sportswear, footwear and accessories, and the men’s Tommy Hilfiger Tailored collection. The bespoke store décor features locally-sourced furnishings including a modern chrome chandelier; contemporary stainless steel tables are adorned with geometric laser-cut metal tiles created by local designer Bianca Barbato, which hint at American heritage in a modern way.

The exterior facades of both stores are distinctly modern, set in a combination of high-gloss white lacquered wood and polished stainless steel laser-cut with the brand’s signature monogram—an insignia also echoed in the custom monogram rug anchoring the entryway of both locations.

Launched in Brazil in 1998, Tommy Hilfiger currently has more than 1,000 points of sale within multi-brand stores throughout the country and over 30 freestanding stores.
